New Blog

I created a new blog last night to list all of the potentially at risk horses listed on Craigs List in the areas surrounding Borderlands. When I say "at risk" I'm mainly focusing on horses at or under $500. I may list a few over $500 but it'll depend on the information on the horse if I list or not. These horses may not be at risk but with the prices as low as they are, the owner may decide to up and send the horse to auction and take an even lower price. I've seen loose horses go for $500 to a kill buyer.

I know it may not be much and people may not even see the blog but at least I'll know I'm trying to do something for these horses with uneducated owners.

My thinking is to have a post for each major area:

• South Dakota
• Sioux Falls
• Minneapolis
• Minnesota
• Nebraska

I may need to break down the Minnesota listings more but for now I'll leave them as one post entry. I can't seem to figure out pictures so there's no pictures included in the posts. If you want to view the ad and possible pictures of the horse for sale, just click on the link.

It may be that the links won't work after a very short period of time. It'll depend on if the owner pulls the ad. I'm sure after about a month the ads will be irrelavent but I needed to do something now.

I don't know how long I'll keep the new blog up. But I know I had to do something, especially going into fall with this economy the way it is. I can't bring them all home but I can try to spread the news.

If you have any ideas for a better layout or a better way to get these horses more viewing time, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Suggestions are always welcome.
