Amazing Savanna Update

I was happily surprised to see a picture of Savanna tonight. Gentle Spirits really has a knack for bringing horses along with their education.

This past Tuesday was a year ago that we pulled Savanna from a horse auction, starved, with a yearling filly by her side, and pregnant. Next month will mark her 2011 colt's, Jett (aka Prize) birthday. 

I am blown away by the progress that Savanna has gone through. She looks amazing. There's been a lot of hard work in getting her to where she is right now. She's been given food, love, shelter, and now education.



I was so excited to see that tonight, Gentle Spirit's volunteer not only saddled Savanna but backed her for the first time. She is going to make someone a very amazing horse. You can really see the change in her eyes. There used to be a look of weariness and resignation. Now there is a look of curiosity. Seeing these types of pictures really lifts my spirits and gives me hope that there is good in the world.
