July 15th Sale

I will be heading to the Mitchell Horse Sale July 15th. It starts at 6pm with catalog horses, then moves to non-catalog horses, and finishes up with loose horses. I won't be able to bring anyone home but I want/need to go anyway. If you are looking for something specific, let me know and I'll see if he/she is there. If you want to go with, please let me know. I'd love the company.

Keep your fingers crossed that all will find good homes. My very good friend's son was able to pull a horse from an auction a couple weeks back. Made a deal with the buyer and when asked what the buyer was going to do with the horse "send her to slaughter". What was wrong with the horse you ask, NOTHING. She's young and not broke.

Now is the time to start brainstorming how we can keep good horses from ending up in killbuyer hands. Killbuyers are out to fill their loads and they are looking for those that are plumb, doesn't matter if they are broke to ride and someone's pet. It doesn't matter if they are the best darn horse in the world, if it fills their load they want 'em. Let's put a stop to them.
