Frost is on it's Way

The frost is on it's way. It's just a matter of time before it reaches Borderlands. The blue on the map shows possible frost for tonight. The weatherman is calling for 35 degrees tonight.
I did notice that the horses are starting to put their winter coats on. I'm a bit worried for the oldsters. I should maybe put them in the barn but if I do that, will they toughen up enough for when the real cold sets in?
I'm just afraid they will get chilled. If I get cold standing out there, I worry that they will get chilled too. I guess maybe I'm more of a worrier than I used to be.
I must remember to pull the one plant still in a pot in to the house tonight. I know it's almost October but I'm still behind on being ready for fall.

I could handle about another three weeks of fall weather. I'm still trying to get everything prepared for next week's "fog predition". I am hoping that the weather will be nice next weekend so that few people will want to haul horses to an auction. Otherwise I'm going to have to deal with bad weather and seeing lots of horses go through the loose auction at the Sioux Falls Regional Livestock Auction. I'm not yet prepared for that auction. There's too much to do.
I'm still not adjusted to this weather but I guess Mother Nature isn't going to wait for me to change over to the cold season. Oh well, I guess I better get myself prepared a bit quicker for winter.
On the plus side, a hard freeze would get rid of all the nasty face flies. The poor horses have been dealing with nasty face flies for a while now. Even with their masks on they still have to deal with those pesky, annoying flies. I guess maybe I'll start looking forward to a hard freeze just to get rid of the annoying flies!
