Audacity

Time and time again I'm amazed at the audacity of people. I consider myself a little gullible and do get snookered on occasion, which makes me even madder.

While perusing through the local ads, I noticed a very nice looking gray, so of course I had to check out the horse. RED FLAG.

The person selling the horse is the exact same person that sold me King and gave me Blondie. We were given a song and dance and told that they were "liquidating" their horses because they were moving. They were also selling a horse trailer, a pony, and some tack.

Apparently the move that they had been expecting fell through because they are still in the same area and are once again selling a horse. If you have to "liquidate" your horses, isn't that a flag that you should look at your finances and your future to ensure that you don't screw with anyone else's lives, be it two legged or four?

I guess I'm glad that I have King and were blessed with Blondie for a very short time. It just angers me that people can be so careless about the future of their horses. If it's not a good match, I understand. But if you have to get rid of your horses because your finances, then why in blazes do you go and get another one? How much can change in four years? We brought King home in April 2007 and Blondie in July 2007. And now this person is selling a horse in June 2011. What financial changes did they make to think they could keep a horse? Apparently they arent' looking to the future.

But I forget, some people would be willing to sell their parents if they thought they could get away with it and make money. Guess there's no difference when it comes to horses. God speed gray horse. I hope you find a better owner.
